Optical detection of hit point
No rubber or paper band
No cleaning or preparation
Crossfire detection
Measures bullet speed for every shot
Superior durability
Exceptional precision
No Consumables?
Thanks to optical detection, the need for rubber or paper belts is history. The target appears as a tunnel – you simply shoot through air.
The only thing you need is a simple aiming card, which can be easily and precisely replaced without opening the target. For most rifle shooting and experienced pistol shooters, this means no costs for consumables. Additionally, you avoid all the work of changing belts, cleaning, checking, etc…

Full Control in Three Dimensions!
With measurements in three dimensions, 3D-Score provides much more information about the shots than
traditional target types. Since we can measure the direction of the bullet through the target, it is easy to detect when someone is shooting at the wrong target, and the range officer can be notified immediately. The 3D measurements also make it possible to measure the bullet speed through the target – an invaluable tool for monitoring weapon stability.
A common problem for optical targets is the small distance between the detection plane and the target plane (aiming mark). This causes errors in indication and artificial changes in the hit point if the shooter moves between shots. Technically, this is called a parallax error. Thanks to the three-dimensional measurements, 3D-Score is 100% free of parallax errors, as the only optical target type on the market.
Redundant sensors in the target make 3D-Score our most robust target type ever! This ensures the target works optimally even when full of dust or used in challenging lighting conditions – simply foolproof!

What is parallax and crossfire detection?
Parallax is a situation where the shooter is not located straight in front of the target. With some targets you get inaccurate detection in such situations. A typical problem for optical / laser detection, is that there is a small distance between the detection plane and the aiming plane. This will result in errors when the shooter moves a little on the shooting stand.
We have eliminated this kind of inaccuracy completely by detecting not only the position of the bullet/pellet impact, but also the angle of the path for the passing bullet/pellet. Based on this angle, we can also tell from which shooting stand a bullet/pellet came from – even at 50m, meaning that we have invented crossfire detection for air gun and small bore short range!
